Background

As a California native to the Bay Area, I have traveled solo across and over the US and Canada by car and rail, lived in the East Coast and Mid Atlantic Caribbean. Travel is my greatest love and I have been more than lucky to go to quite a few countries by plane and ship. I grew up reselling vintage and second hand finds at local flea markets and I have been shooting and processing 35mm and medium format since I was a teen. My digital images are seldom altered as I learned with film and slide (yes!) without imaging software at my disposal.

My art “education” ranges from renaissance and contemporary art history to pastels, figurative, ceramic and varied paint media. Being fortunate to have had so many amazing people on my journey I continue to seek out ways to expand my understanding of how art and our world intersect, especially to our waters.
